14. Petroleum tanks / Fuel storage tanks Bunded petroleum tanks/ fuel storage tanks are essentially a tank within a tank. The area surrounding the inner tank is called the “bund”, hence bunded petroleum fuel tank. Petroleum storage tanks are available in a variety of different sizes and the fuel storage tanks can be stored above or below ground d ependant on fuel storage needs. The information and availability of petroleum tanks/ fuel storage tanks is similar to that of bunded oil storage tanks and as bunded storage tanks are considered to be much safer than single skinned storage tanks. Refurbished fuel tanks and oil storage tanks can be supplied and provide a large cost reduction to purchasing new bunded petroleum / fuel or oil bunded storage tanks.
